Betty and my mother Pat were lifelong friends and remained close throughout their lives. When my mother died last year, Betty was a huge support, with regular words of encouragement and comfort. I remember Betty very fondly from the times I spent with her as a child in her lovely garden in Blagdon. Betty, we will miss you very much - rest in peace
